When I was younger, my parents

When I was younger my parents took myself and by brother and sister to the theatre.

They wasnt us to learn the theatre verses the theatre of movies existed.

We went to this one theatre where actors were on the stage with array of different subjects and kept up interested in different topics.   In this one theatre we went to you were to throw popcorn at the actors when they did something bad.

Really bad acting as a kid, so as you enter the theatre they hand you a container of really good tasting popcorn.  Then you discover there free popcorn in the back.   Then you discover that the information is to take the popcorn and throw it at the actors if they do something bad.  As they sent off the stage and everyone boos them, you and allot of adults boo them with the free popcorn.

The actors come and go thru the entire event,   And several years later you still remember this type of acting in a theatre you once went too.

What H.R. does when you get fired or let go?

What is the responsibility of H.R. when you are fired or let go from a business?!

In retail HR may call you if you are seasonal worker and tell you, you don't have to come in to work.   Or they may tell you while you are at work that your being let go and to wait at the HR office after your shift is done to get your last paycheck instead of them to mail it to you.

In Big Business since it is a yearly paycheck it is sent in the mail the very last paycheck if you are let go they sometimes put it into a very big envelope marked urgent.

In big business the Executive HR Manager sends you an email and requests to talk to you in a conference room.  Then your Manager and the Executive Manager talk to you about some of your work habits.

Then they tell you a complaint they had with you.   If you can not convince them that it's not your fault then they will probably let you go or just fire you.

They will tell you go to your office and clear your items out.   Here is a cardboard box, they will hand it too you.

You go to your office immediately and clear your items into it.   When you are done moving all the office items into the HR Box then you are walked out of the building with the Executive Manager.

The Executive Managers responsibility is too take your Company swipe card from you and deactivate it.

The Executive Managers tells you in 5 to 10 days you'll receive a packet from them and you will need to read it and sign it and send it back.   It usually has the stock information if the company had any stock for you too purchase.  The envelope also has your finally pay in a final check.  Then it also has the calculation of how they came up with your final paycheck.

If you get any phone calls from the brand new individual who wants to know your employment position better you can answer there questions or say Sorry talk to the executive HR manager for answers.

The when your ex-Manager ever should call you because he misses you and did not agree with the Executive manager about letting you go.  Be polite.  Because he called you up because some one he is friends with in another Company needs a 2 week worker for their company.   The ex-Manager might give you a invitation for an interview with another company which is a very good thing.

Be gracious when they let you go after two weeks because they might call you back.

Eating at a Roach Truck in the 90's

When I worked at Orchard Supply Hardware (Out of business now), the only place to eat besides the breakroom was the only two fast food places in the neighborhood, one was Taco Bell (they hired illegals)

and two KFC.

However when they showed up there was a Black Roach Truck and they sold Authentic Mexican food.  Every worker in the OSH Store went to this Black Roach Truck  at lunch time.   It was the best food ever!

Then near where I had my car accident we found a more authentic burrito restaurant.   The burrito's were as big as a Hard Rock Cafe burger.    It was the best in Mountain View, California.
